Cover Types Across the Bag: Putters, Irons, Woods and Alignment Sticks
The value of a cover range is that a buyer can order every piece a golfer’s bag needs from one factory, in one design language. This range is built around eight cover types.
Putter covers come in four profiles: the square putter cover, the mallet putter cover (also described as the semi-round putter cover), the small semi-round putter cover and the blade putter cover. That spread lets a pro shop stock the shapes its members actually play without switching suppliers between profiles.
Iron covers protect the iron heads that sit lowest in the bag, and are usually ordered as a set across the irons rather than as singles.
Wood covers are supplied in three sizes — large, medium and small — which map to driver, fairway and hybrid. Buyers ordering a full bag set typically take all three so the ladder of club sizes is covered in one visual family.
Knit head covers use a knit construction rather than a cut-and-sewn nylon panel, and the alignment head cover is shaped for the alignment or aiming stick that many players carry alongside their clubs.
Two accessories complete the set: a golf ball pouch / small ball bag and a golf towel, both matched to the same range. The item reference for the headcover range is GT003.
If you are assembling a bag programme for a club or a retail line, tell us which club types you need and we will confirm the matching pieces. Start with your club list.
Nylon Construction and Club Head Protection
Every cover in this range is made from nylon fabric. Nylon is specified here for one stated job — it protects the club head — and for two stated performance properties: it is scratch-resistant and wear-resistant.
Those properties matter more than they sound in a golf bag. Clubs knock against each other in the well on every round and every trolley ride, and painted metal and graphite crowns take that abrasion directly unless the cover absorbs it first. A scratch-resistant, wear-resistant nylon shell is the layer that takes the contact, which is why it is the material behind this whole range rather than an occasional option.
Because the shell is consistent across the range, a buyer can specify one fabric story across putter, iron, wood and alignment covers and get the same look and feel throughout the set. Ask about the range for your club mix.
Customization Options: Cover Type, Size, Colour and Decoration
Every order in this range is built to the buyer’s specification. The six variables to decide are:
- Cover type — any combination of square, mallet, semi-round, small semi-round and blade putter covers, iron covers, wood covers in large, medium and small, knit covers and the alignment head cover.
- Size — selected from the available length range (see the sizing section below), confirmed against the club model and head shape you intend to cover.
- Colour — black, white and red, or white and purple, with colour selectable by the buyer. Colour choices can be carried across the whole set so the covers read as one family in the bag.
- Decoration method — embroidery, knitting, or heat-press / voltage-bonder application, depending on cover type and artwork.
- Logo placement — position and scale of your mark on the cover face, confirmed at the design stage.
- Custom text — a player’s name, a club name or a short line of text alongside the logo.
Because the range is offered as a coordinated set, the same decoration approach can be applied across the cover types, so a driver cover, iron covers and a putter cover ordered together carry one consistent design rather than three unrelated ones. This is the detail that matters most for private-label programmes and for corporate and promotional gift programmes, where the set is seen as a single item.
Three Ways to Apply Your Logo, Plus Custom Text
Embroidery. The most widely used method in this range. Your mark is stitched into the cover, which suits the nylon panels of the putter, iron, wood and alignment covers and gives a raised, tactile logo that holds detail across solid and outline shapes.
Knitting. Used for the knit head covers, where the mark is knitted into the cover as part of the construction rather than applied on top of it. This is the right route when the knit cover itself is the design feature.
Heat-press / voltage-bonder application. A flat application suited to graphics with fine detail or tight registration, and a good match when your artwork is difficult to reproduce cleanly in thread.
Custom text. Alongside the logo, buyers frequently add a name — a player’s name or a club name. Text can be produced in the same decoration method as the mark so the two read together.
The logo upgrade option. For buyers who want to change the mark without changing the product, the range supports a logo-upgrade programme in which only the logo changes while the material, size and construction stay the same. A basic mark can move to a more refined one on an identical cover, so packaging, fit and pricing structure stay stable while the branding steps up. Send your logo and we will advise on the best method.
Sizing Across the Range: Confirm the Club Model Before Sampling
The available lengths across the cover range are:
9 cm / 3.54 in · 12 cm / 4.72 in · 14 cm / 5.51 in · 23 cm / 9.06 in · 28 cm / 11.02 in · 32 cm / 12.6 in
Two further lengths, 40 cm and 60 cm, appear on the pouch and towel-type items in the same range.
These lengths are published as the available size range rather than as a fixed cover-type-to-length mapping, because the correct length depends on the club, not only on the category. A mallet putter with a large, deep head does not sit in the same cover as a slim blade, and hybrid heads vary noticeably between models. Before sampling, send us the club model and head shape you intend to cover — or, if the covers are for retail stock rather than a specific club, tell us the head shapes your customers play most.
Sampling is the cheapest way to settle this. With an MOQ of 1 pc, you can have a single cover made, fit it to a real club, and confirm the length and shape before committing to a set. Request a sample.
Ordering Process: From Artwork to Dispatch
The route from your design to a shipped order runs in seven steps:
- Send artwork. Share your logo, text and any reference files, together with the cover types, sizes, colours and quantities you have in mind.
- Free design artwork. Our free design artwork service prepares your mark for the cover type and decoration method you have chosen, and confirms logo placement and scale.
- Sample. A sample is produced in 1-3 days. Because MOQ is 1 pc, a single piece is accepted — useful for checking fit against a real club before a full set or a larger programme is placed.
- Confirm. You approve the sample, the decoration and the specification.
- Production. Production time is 2-10 days.
- Inspection. Every piece is inspected before it leaves the factory — full inspection on dispatch.
- Dispatch. Orders ship out, with drop-shipping support available.
