Square, Rectangular or Any-Shape? Choosing a Format

Square covers are the default for corporate merchandise and sofa décor: 30 × 30, 35 × 35, 40 × 40, 45 × 45, 50 × 50, 55 × 55 and 60 × 60 cm. A 40 × 40 cm square takes a centred logo or a photo without awkward cropping, and it is the easiest size to pack and ship in volume.

Rectangular covers come in 35 × 50 cm and 40 × 60 cm. The wider face suits landscape photography, printed slogans and lumbar cushions for car interiors or office chairs.

Any-shape, or contoured, pillows cover pet outlines, characters and big-head shapes. These are measured by the longest edge, and the width follows the outline of your image rather than a fixed frame. This is the point most buyers miss: a contoured pillow and a square pillow at the same nominal figure do not offer the same usable print area, so always compare the size chart before you fix a size in your purchase order. Contoured pillows are filled directly and have no separate liner.

Cover Fabrics Compared

Nine cover fabrics are available, and the choice changes both the hand-feel and how the print reads.

• Crystal velvet — 420 g/m², soft and smooth to the touch, with a surface that carries photographic detail well.
• Canvas — firm, durable, breathable and crease-resistant; a strong choice for cushions that will be handled often.
• Cotton-linen — breathable, with a natural matte look that suits home-decor and retail ranges.
• Faux silk / silky satin — a smooth, light-catching surface for gift and hotel pieces.
• Short plush, baby velvet (spandex baby velvet), South Korean silk, retro cotton-linen, heavyweight cotton-linen, heavyweight velvet — further options for texture, weight and stretch.

For promotional runs, distributors usually pair a durable fabric with a bold logo. For gift and home-decor brands, the fabric often carries the perceived value, so request a recommendation based on the end use rather than picking by name alone. Printing Sides: Single-Sided, Double-Sided Same Image, or AB

Three configurations are standard, and each is priced and produced differently:

• Single-sided — the image is printed on the front face; the back stays plain white. This is the common choice for event giveaways and logo cushions.
• Double-sided, same image — the artwork repeats on both faces, so the pillow looks finished from any angle on a sofa or a display shelf.
• Double-sided AB — two different images, one per side. Typical use: a corporate logo on the front and a photo, campaign line or product shot on the back.

All three use digital heat-transfer printing, which produces vivid colour and a print that is colour-fast, washable, sun-resistant and abrasion-resistant. Print side, fabric and size are confirmed together, so state your preference when you request a quote through our contact page.

Preparing Artwork for a Sharp Print

Print sharpness is decided before production starts. Supply a file larger than 100 KB with an image width greater than 800 px — one internal specification asks for more than 1000 px — and the print will hold finer detail. High-resolution originals are recommended; photos can come from a phone, a digital camera or another source.

For custom shaped pillow from photo projects, check that the subject has clean edges against the background, because the cut line follows the outline of the image. For logo work, send the highest-resolution version you have and note any colour reference you need matched. Because colour may vary slightly between screens and the printed product, this is normal for the industry and worth flagging internally before artwork sign-off.

Inserts, Fill and Everyday Comfort

Three fills are available:

• High-rebound PP cotton — the standard fill for a full, resilient cushion.
• 3D high-rebound hollow fibre — a down-proof fabric shell around 7D + 3D fibre, for a lighter, loftier feel.
• Imported high-elastic PP cotton — for buyers who want a springier recovery.

In every case the insert is deliberately 3–5 cm larger than the cover, so the pillow looks full rather than slack at the corners. Shaped pillows are filled directly. If you prefer to skip the separate inner cushion entirely, the pillow can be supplied directly filled with PP cotton.

The insert is vacuum-compressed for shipping. After unpacking, pat the pillow and allow about 24 hours for the PP cotton to re-fluff to its full shape — worth noting on any retail packaging or care card you print yourself. For bulk orders, ask us about fill selection at the quoting stage so the sample matches your production run.

Care, Packaging and Bulk Logo Runs

Care is simple but specific: low-temperature wash with a neutral detergent, use a laundry bag, do not use chlorine bleach, and air dry naturally. Do not apply high heat — the pillow cannot be heat-treated. The invisible zipper keeps the contour unbroken, does not scratch, and lets the cover be removed for washing.
