Custom Statue from Photo: Bronze, Resin & Clay Figurines

Every piece we make starts with a real person. You send photographs — a parent, a grandparent, a partner, a colleague, a hero, a historical figure — and our sculptors turn them into a three-dimensional portrait you can hold, display or give away. We are a direct manufacturing studio, not a marketplace reseller: you work with the people who actually model, cast, print and paint your statue, and you approve the likeness before anything permanent happens.

Three material lines are available for custom portrait statues and figurine sculptures: handmade bronze busts, high-end resin collector sculptures produced by 3D full-color printing, and polymer-clay (soft clay) figurines. Minimum order is 1 pc. A design or model draft is ready in 1-3 days, and production takes 2-10 days after you approve that draft.

Bronze, Resin or Clay — Which Material for Which Purpose

The right material depends on what the statue has to do: hold a memorial, sit on a collector’s shelf, or make someone laugh on their birthday.

Bronze bust statues (custom bronze). Cast in pure bronze alloy — yellow copper, bronze or red copper depending on the finish you choose. The route is genuinely handmade: a sculptor builds a clay model first, you review it, then we make the mold, cast the piece, and hand-finish and color it. Bust heights are 6 / 8 / 10 / 12 / 15 cm, with 15 cm as the collector size. Bronze is the choice for memorial portraits of parents and grandparents, for heroes and historical figures, and for executive or retirement gifts where weight and permanence matter. It is the most substantial option and the one that ages into a patina rather than wearing out.

Resin collector sculptures (high-end 3D full-color printing). Made from imported artist-grade resin that is odorless, light-resistant and waterproof, and described by the maker as resistant to aging and discoloration. The workflow is digital: 3D modeling, then full-color printing, UV curing and sealing with a triple gloss coating. Typical heights are 7 / 8 / 10 cm, with custom proportions on request. Because resin is light and can carry full color, it suits collectors, colorful uniforms and outfits, and detailed scenes. In international trade this line is often priced by gram weight, which keeps small pieces affordable.

Polymer-clay (soft clay) figurines. Made from imported soft clay, baked and high-temperature cured. Colors do not fade, the shape does not deform, and the material is moisture- and sun-resistant. Faces are painted in one unified light skin tone unless the subject is non-Asian. Common sizes are 10–25 cm, and we recommend roughly 22–25 cm if you want proportions closest to a real body. This is the warmest, most expressive line — the natural fit for birthday surprises, couple anniversaries, wedding and family keepsakes, team souvenirs and dashboard figurines (the 15 cm head-slightly-larger-than-body style).

All three lines share the same customization scope: solo, couple or family subjects, pose, hairstyle and hair color, outfit, accessories, base shape and color, scene, and height or proportion — including memorial subjects such as parents, grandparents and historical figures.

From Two Photos to a Finished Statue

Two reference photos are enough to begin. Ideally you send one clear face photo and one full-body photo. The face photo drives the likeness; the full-body shot tells us the pose, the outfit and how the person stands. If you want a specific ancient costume, prop, background or scene, include a third image. The clearer the face, the better the result — avoid tilted heads and odd angles, and keep the expression natural. Happy or slightly exaggerated expressions are welcome and often work better than a neutral stare.

For bronze, the clay model is the most important gate in the whole project. Nothing is cast until you have seen it. The full process runs: discuss the brief → deposit → clay model → your review and changes → photos for approval → mold → casting → coloring → balance payment → protective packing and shipping. The seller’s commitment is a one-to-one resemblance from that approved clay model through to the finished bronze, backed by permanent after-sales quality support. For resin and clay pieces the equivalent gate is the 3D model or design draft, reviewed with you before printing, baking or painting begins.

Size & Proportion Guide

A free base is included with every piece — square, round or heart, with customizable color and space for a short inscription. Premium or full-scene upgrades may add cost. Optional glass cover and crystal base are available for display, and a premium gift box can be added if the statue is going straight to someone’s hands.

What Handmade Likeness Really Means

We would rather be honest now than disappoint you later. Sculpted work is likeness-oriented — “spirit-like” rather than pixel-perfect. A photograph is two-dimensional and is shaped by its own lighting, lens and filters; a sculpture is three-dimensional and lit by the room it stands in. The two will naturally differ, and small deviations from the reference photo are a normal part of handmade work, not a defect.

Some poses are simply not possible in a hand-built figure — both arms bent overhead, or two people in a tight hug, are common examples. After you approve the sample, the pose, scene and base cannot be moved, and once baking, casting or printing starts, the colors are locked too. Changes are made from the photographs supplied at the time of order. This is why we spend the extra day or two at the draft stage, and why we photograph the approved model before production begins.

Ordering, Lead Times & Shipping Safety

There is no minimum order beyond a single piece — 1 pc is welcome, at factory price. You get free design work and direct communication with the sculptor handling your project.

• Sample / draft time: 1-3 days for the design or clay model draft.
• Production time: 2-10 days after draft approval.
• Rush service: available for an extra fee, which covers the sculptor’s overtime. A sample fee applies once the draft has been made and is non-refundable mid-way.

Packing is shockproof, and premium gift packaging is available on request. If a statue is damaged in shipping, we bear the cost of remaking, re-shipping or repairing it — please open and inspect the package on delivery and photograph any damage immediately. Because each statue is a custom one-off artwork made for one person, it cannot be resold, so we do not accept no-reason returns. A contract and invoice are available on request.
