Printing, Engraving, Enamel Filling and Epoxy Dome
Material decides how a badge feels. Decoration decides how it looks and how it survives.
Printing delivers full colour: gradients, photographic elements and exact brand shades. Layout Engineering for a List of Names, Not One Badge
This is the part almost nobody explains, and it is where large orders go wrong. A single badge is a design problem. Two hundred badges with two hundred different names is a systems problem, because the longest name in the list sets the geometry for all of them.
Design around the longest name first. If the template is built for “Amy Chen” and then “Alexandra Fitzwilliam-Hart” arrives, the layout either overflows, wraps awkwardly or gets auto-shrunk — and a shrunk name is instantly visible next to a full-size one. Build the template for the longest realistic name in the list, then let shorter names sit comfortably inside it.
Give the name the largest type and step down. Name first, then role, then department. The step-down should be obvious enough to read as hierarchy rather than as an accident of sizing.
Keep the logo small and in a fixed position. A consistent corner placement reads as a set. A logo that grows or shifts to balance different name lengths destroys the uniformity the set depends on.

- Read the sample at the real distances. Hold it at conversation distance, set it on a counter and look at it through the angle a customer would, then stand three metres back and check whether the shape and colour block still register.
