Pendant Styles at a Glance

The relief technique is a family, not a single product. The same 3D engraving runs across:

• Round plates — a double-layer round plate at roughly 2 cm (about 6 ± 0.5 g), and a relief round plate at roughly 2 cm (about 5.5 ± 0.5 g).
• Contour pendants — cut to the outline of the subject. Necklace version at about 4 ± 0.5 g, bracelet version at 16 + 3 cm and about 3.5 ± 0.5 g, and a keychain version on a short silver chain with a stainless-steel key ring at about 6 ± 0.5 g.
• Rings — an avatar ring on a slim round band or slim flat band with a mini head of about 1–1.2 cm, single, double or triple head, open or closed band; and a multi-head ring on a wide flat band, three heads by default.
• Bangles — open version, 5 mm wide on a 16 cm wrist, with full-body, half-body or head patterns; a double-pattern bangle at 5 mm; and a multi-head bangle at 7 mm that carries up to 1–8 heads around one piece.
• Ear studs and brooches — avatar ear studs sold as a pair at about 1 cm, and a round-plate brooch at roughly 1.7 cm in a round or body-outline shape with a welded pin or butterfly clasp.

How a Photo Becomes a 3D Relief Pendant

A shallow laser mark sits on top of the metal. Our 3D relief engraving goes into it. Depth, layering, curved surfaces and the play of light and shadow are carved into the plate, which is why a face, a fur texture or a fingerprint ridge keeps its shape instead of flattening into a grey silhouette.

Text, patterns and photos are deep-engraved for durability and wear resistance. The dark areas are not painted or coated — they are all-hand natural blackening, an oxidation of the silver that develops in the recesses and leaves the raised surfaces bright. Blackening is optional and is the default.

Both faces can carry content, so a custom photo pendant with name engraved on the front can hold a date, a fingerprint or a short message on the back, and the piece can be worn either way.

Silver or Titanium Steel — and Which Chain Fits

999 fine silver is the default material. It is the softer, brighter choice and the one that holds fine photo and fingerprint detail best, finished by hand polishing for a fine surface texture.

Titanium steel is the durable option, and it is color-fast, hypoallergenic, does not deform, is water-resistant and rust-free. Titanium-steel plates come in a polished or brushed finish, with polished as the default. Use titanium steel for larger plates, everyday wear and pieces worn against skin.

Chains follow the pendant. S925 sterling silver chains come in 1.5 mm × 45 cm, 1.5 mm × 50 cm and 1.5 mm × 60 cm; 2 mm black leather cord can be cut to length. Our matching rule keeps the proportion right — a 13–19 mm pendant takes a 2 mm × 45 cm titanium-steel chain, and a 22–25 mm pendant takes a 3 mm × 50 cm chain. Ten chain styles are available: black leather cord, square pearl chain, diagonal-cut chain, pearl chain, bead chain, keel/bone chain, O-chain, box chain, twist chain and two-side polished.

Sizes, Weights and What Fits Where

Silver plates run from 13–25 mm at 1.5 mm thick, and the relief round-plate set comes in 25 mm, 20 mm and 15 mm at 1.6 mm thick. Pendant weights land between roughly 2 g and 8 g depending on size.

Titanium-steel plates are larger and are sized in centimetres: large at W 2.8 cm × H 5.0 cm (about 18 g), medium at W 2.5 cm × H 4.5 cm (about 15 g) and small at W 2.2 cm × H 3.6 cm (about 10 g), all at 2 mm thick.

Caring for Fine Silver: Polishing, Cleaning and Repair

Silver is a living metal, and it is easy to keep bright. Wipe the piece with the supplied polishing cloth or polishing stick to lift the oxidation from the raised surfaces while the deep engraving stays dark and defined.

We also stand behind the piece after it ships with a free cleaning and polishing service, and repair of minor scratches, with no time limit. Send it back whenever it needs attention.

To slow natural tarnish, keep silver away from hot springs, bleach and sulfur-containing chemicals, and store it dry and sealed when it is not being worn.
